SUNK IN CHANNEL

TWO ENEMY SUPPLY SHIPS SUCCESS OF BRITISH LIGHT NAVAL FORCES. NAZI DIVE-BOMBERS SHOT DOWN LONDON, February 4. The Admiralty reports the sinking of two enemy ships in the English Channel early this morning by our light forces. Two laden enemy supply ships were intercepted near the Channel Islands and were engaged at very close range. The ships were left sinking. No casualties or damage were suffered by our ships.

Another Admiralty communique reports the destruction of two German dive-bombers. One was shot down by a trawler and the other by a minesweeper.
