THIRTEEN HUNDRED ENEMY AIRCRAFT DESTROYED BY BRITISH SHIPS AND NAVAL PLANES. SOME BY MERCHANT VESSELS. LONDON, February 4. The First Lord of the Admiralty (Mr A. V. Alexander) stated that since the beginning of the war British ships and naval aircraft had destroyed 1300 German and Italian planes.
