SOLDIERS’ COMFORTS MEETING OF COMMITTEE. ("Times-Age” Special.) At a meeting of the Eketahuna Borough Ladies’ Soldiers’ Comforts Committee, Miss M. Anderson (president) was in the chair. Mrs Wimsett (secretary and treasurer) tendered her resignation, as she was leaving the district to reside at Patea. The resignation was received with regret. The committee has been fortunate in securing Mrs N. Williams to fill the position. Afternoon tea was provided by the president, and was much appreciated. It was reported that twenty-seven zone parcels had been packed last week and forwarded to Wellington. Personal Items. Mr Eric Norling, Mangaronga, who has been an inmate of the Pahiatua Hospital for five weeks, has returned home. Miss Betty Curry, Station Road, who spent a holiday in Masterton, has returned home. Mrs Doherty, Alfredton Road, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs Cunninghame, Waverley, has returned home. Miss Mavis Waterreus, Eketahuna, who was successful in passing her maternity examination at the Palmerston North Hospital, has returned to the Auckland Hospital, where she received her general training.
