BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Burden and J. Kiernan defeated Brunton and Kilgour in the Greytown Bowling Club’s championship pairs. Two local rinks will take part in the New Year Tournament at Masterton. Rural Delivery. The rural delivery to the Morison’s Bush district is to be continued as before. Last week instructions were received that there would only be a three day a week service. Personal. Two Greytown soldiers, M. Connolly and R. Buick, are reported missing. Single Beds Required. The Greytown Red Cross sub-centre requires a number of single beds for emergency ,purposes and anyone willing to lend beds is requested to notify Mrs Jury immediately. Red Cross Society Dance. The Greytown sub-branch of the Red Cross Society will hold a dance in the Odd Fellows’ Hall tonight in aid of the prisoners of war parcels and Red Cross Equipment Fund. TOWN HALL TOMORROW’S PROGRAMME. • Maurice Maeterlink’s masterpiece in colour, “The Blue Bird,” with. Shirley Temple .in the leading role, and ‘‘Star Dust,” featuring Linda Darnell and John Payne, will be screened at the Town Hall tomorrow night. Both these pictures are approved for Universal Exhibition.
