COSY THEATRE
“GUNNER GEORGE.”
The double feature programme, “Gunner George” and “Here’s Flash Casey,” will be finally shown tonight. “BLONDIE GOES LATIN.” Tomorrow night there will be shown “Blondie Goes Latin.” This time the Bumsteads, Baby Dumpling and the Boss, go for a trip to Mexico. The Boss is going for a rest and is,taking the Bumsteads with him for company. A wire at the last minute tells of some business deal on shore, which means that Dagwood must leave the ship. He has every intention of doing so, but he does not accomplish his purpose. In his endeavour to, keep his presence from his wife and his employer he has to go through many agonies, not least of which is dressing up in women’s clothes and playing in the band. Penny Singleton, as Blondie, reveals that she has a very pleasant soprano voice and can dance the rhumba with the best. The other feature is “Light of the Western Stars,” a most interesting Zane Grey picture. On Saturday afternoon there will be a special Christmas matinee which will be attended by Father Christmas. On this occasion “Just William” will be shown and not the two pictures on the night programme.
