LANSDOWNE SCHOOL
BREAKING=UP CEREMONY LARGELY ATTENDED YESTERDAY. LIST OF PRIZEWINNERS. The annual breaking-up ceremony in connection with the Lansdowne School was held yesterday afternoon in the presence of a large gathering of parents and friends. The chairman of the school committee. Mr J. G. McFarlane, presided. The members of the Junior Red Cross circle organised a stall and a substantial sum was collected for their work.
Mr McFarlane congratulated the pupils and staff on the good work done during the year.

Navy League Certificates were awarded to Robert Hopkirk, Michael Shortland, Him Yon Louis, David Yee, Shio Young, Thompson Wong, Dwyllis Nicholls, Hugh Kent-Johnston, Patricia Holm wood, Joyce Holmwood, Malcolm Hopkirk, Nelson Hill, John Grant, Joyce Grant, Norma EVernden', Keith Dennison, Ronald Dennison.
On behalf of Form 11. pupils Geoffrey Jaine made the presentation of a shaving set and cuff links to Mi- L. Jones, as an expression, he said, of the gratefulness which the class felt for Mr Jones’s sympathetic teaching.
