BANGKOK REPORT
ALLEGED BRITISH DEFEAT. (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, December 16. A Bangkok message said the Thai High Command announced that British assaults were repulsed, especially in the south, where British troops sustained considerable damage and fled to Burma, abandoning arms and ammunition.
A British report denies that any engagement has taken place between British and Thailand troops. It is pointed cut that all recent news relating to Thailand has been of Japanese origin.
