COSY THEATRE
“THE DEVIL COMMANDS.”
The double feature programme headed by “The Devil Commands” and “Swing It, Soldier,” will be finally shown tonight.
“GUNNER GEORGE.’’
The programme at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow night will be headed by George Formby in “Gunner George.” Formby is one of the most noted comedians ever to appear on the screen, and he is a gilt-edged box office security today. In his previous pictures he achieved successes rarely recorded by a comedian, his acting and smart sayings immediately capturing the audience. In “Gunner George” the audience will see Formby at his best. The picture is claimed to be his masterpiece and it contains all the ingredients required to make a first class comedy. The associate feature, “Here’s Flash Casey,” is a picture that will appeal to the audience. The picture is an exciting one dealing with the running to earth of a notorious gang. The leading roles are taken by Boots Mallory and Eric Linden.
