REGENT THEATRE
“LOVE CRAZY.”
The current programme st the Regent Theatre headed by “Love Crazy," will be finally shown tonight.
“VICTORY.”
Tomorrow night’s programme will be headed by a brilliantly acted and presented picture, “Victory.” It is a tale of adventure in the South Seas and, is founded on Joseph Conrad’s famous book. The picture while full of excitement tells a pretty story of the fascination of a beautiful woman and her power over four desperate men. There are many outstanding scenes and the heart interest is sustained right to the last. There are touching incidents which bring out the acting ability of the principals, while the .scenery is particularly appropriate to the presentation of a story which has been one of the best sellers in the book world. Frederic March is seen in what is probably his best character study, and he makes the most of the many situations which call for outstanding acting. Betty Field gives a most delightful presentation of a role that could easily be seriously spoilt by an actress possessing less ability. Sir Cedric Hardwicke presents one of his polished performances, while Jerome Cowan and Sig Rumanin have roles which suit them admirably. Those who appreciate a most interesting story interpreted by some of the most noted actors and actresses of the screen should not miss seeing '“Victory.” There is an excellent supporting programme including “Tannhausser,” a Paramount pictorial, and the Regent Airmail News.
