ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

CADET DIVISION MEMBER . ENTERTAINED. At the weekly parade of the Cadet Ambulance Division on Monday night, the Cadet Superintendent, Mr C. S. McQuade made the presentation of a safety razor and leather hold-all to Corporal G. T. Swain, of the R.N.Z.A.F. In making the presentation Mr McQuade stated that although Corporal Swain had been a member of the R.N.Z.A.F. for the past two years, he still held the rank of Cadet Officer in the Division. He had been a member since the Division was first started in 1936 and held the distinction of being the first member in the Wairarapa to gain the Grand Priors Badge, this being the highest award possible for a member in the St. John Ambulance Cadet Division. On behalf of the members, Mr McQuade wished Corporal Swain the best of luck and a safe return. Mr Swain replied and was’ given three hearty cheers.
