The collection of ergot on roads in Masterton County was. urged by Councillor G. Moore at last night’s meeting of the council. He stated that if people undertook that task they would be doing a national service. Ergot, he said, was to be obtained on many country roads. West School. At a meeting of the Masterton West Home and School Association last night it was decided to invite parents and supporters to donate a cup and saucer each to the association for use at functions to be held for the benefit of the school. Such donations, it was stated, could be bro.ught to the school on Parents Day, which was to. be observed tomorrow, when contributions of cakes and sandwiches would also be welcomed. A complimentary dance will be tendered to Pte. N. James Hacata at the Te Ore Ore Meeting House on Saturday night.
