TERRITORIAL FORCE

TRAINING SCHEME EARLIER MOBILISATION LIKELY. LEAVE MAY BE RESTRICTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Consideration has been given by the War Cabinet to the question of the earlier mobilisation of the Territorial Force in view of the present situation in the Pacific. A number of Territorial units are due to go into camp for their collective training on January 10 and there is reason to believe that these may be mobilised this month instead. The question of leave for Army and Navy personnel has also been considered by the War Cabinet. There is a strong probability that with the exception of the men of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force training for service overseas holiday leave may be withheld.
