SCHOOL COMMITTEE FINAL MEETING FOR YEAR. (“Times-Age” Special.) The final meeting for the year of the local School Committee was held in the school when there were present: Messrs Mclntosh, Sutton, Carter, Duggan, and Riwai. Farmers are busy shearing. Work on some farms is being held up owing to a scarcity of shearers. Personal Items. Mrs Atkinson, Wellington, is staying with her son, Mr J. H. Atkinson. Mr and Mrs Slater are visiting relatives in this district. Privates Charteris, Dixon, O’Brien, Leitch and Noel Hume ate to be entertained at a social, gathering by the local Bachelors’ and Spinsters’ dance committee.
