NAZI WILES
ATTEMPT TO ORGANISE CZECHS IN FACE OF FALLING WAR PRODUCTION. SUPPORT SOUGHT FOR AXIS PUPPETS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 30. Herr Heydrich, the Nazi "protector” in Czechoslovakia, appears to be making a last bid for Czech support, According to- information reaching London, he has authorised General Oto Blaha to form a “Czech front fighters’ union” to take the place of the Sokol groups and Czech legionaries’ organisation which have been banned.
, Blaha, who was a prominent police officer in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, claims to have gathered round him a body of men who formerly held office in the Hapsburg Empire. He asks for the support of the men standing behind Hitler and Hacha, the puppet President, who arc willing to be good citizens of the Protectorate set in the framework of the Reich and who want to protect the principles of the new social order and their fellowmen.
A footnote to this Nazi scheme is supplied by the news that the tenoi in Prague has failed to remedy the fall in war production. Confidential reports, in fact, show that war pioduction has fallen still further since Heydrich began his executions at the end of September.
