OBITUARY
MRS G. BAIRD. The death occurred at a private hospital in Masterton this morning of Mrs Alice Isabel Baird, wife of Mr Gillies Baird, of Waiwiri, Gladstone. The late Mrs Baird was born at Matawhero, Lower Valley, being the daughter of the late Mr and *Mrs Duncan McMaster. She was well known throughout the Wairarapa, and was held in high esteem. She was a sister of Messrs J. P., A. D., and H. McMaster, of the Lower Valley. She leaves a family of six, five daughters and one son. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended to the relatives in their bereavement. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving Hyde’s Chapel after a service at 1.30 p.m. for the private cemetery at Tuhitarata, arriving there about 3 p.m.
