GRAIN AND PRODUCE

CANTERBURY MARKETS. EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET WEEK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 30. The grain and produce markets have been exceptionally quiet this week, with practically no activity in any section. There has been some inquiry for cowgrass for shipment overseas, but apart from that’there appears to have been no business worth recording. The potato crop is cleaned up in Canterbury, ■ though a few very small lots continue to find theii' way on to the market. They are worth £2O a ton. It is probable that there will be no real life in the markets till the new season opens after the New Year .
