WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS. A WIN FOR COLLEGE SENIORS. The Wairarapa Cricket Association’s championship competitions were continued on Saturday. The weather was fine until about half an hour before the drawing of stumps when rain caused a cessation of play. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP COLLEGE V RED STAR. A WELL DESERVED WIN. The Wairarapa College seniors scored a well deserved win over Red Star whose batsmen were unable to stand up to the excellent bowling of Welch and Sweeney. College had 170 up for 9 wickets when first innings time was called and Red Star only compiled 61 in their complete strike. The scores were as follow: —
