OUTSTANDING SUCCESS
ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE DANCE. GATHERING ON SATURDAY NIGHT. The Masonic Hall, Masterton, was packed to the doors on Saturday night for the final dance of the season held by the St. John Ambulance Brigade. The gathering was well conducted and those present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The music was supplied by Mr J. Barnes’s Orchestra, and extras were played by Mr H. Filer and Private R. Pallison.
The duties of M.C.were efficiently carried out by the Cadet Superintendent, Mr C. S. McQuade. Mr McQuade thanked patrons for their attendance and expressed the Brigade’s appreciation of the work of the ladies’ committee and all who had assisted in carrying out the dances. He said that it was hoped to conduct another series of dances next year.
Novelty dances were won as follows: —Monte Carlo waltz competition, Miss J. Harding and Gunner Roband; lucky spot, Miss J. Riley and Private Pallison.
