SOUTH FEATHERSTON
PATRIOTIC EFFORT EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. ("Times-Age” Special.) The was a fair attendance at the fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall by thA War Service Committee. The prize winners were: Ladies, Mrs Simmonds 1, Mrs Hall (Wellington) 2; men, Mr Ashworth 1, Mr A. Robertson 2. The aggregate prizes were won as follows: Ladies, Miss I. Simmonds 1, Mrs Blandford 2; men, Mr J. Thompson 1, Mr A. Robertson 2. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mrs Selby and partner, and Mr and Mrs R. Jepson. The music was supplied by Udy’s orchestra. Mr L. Mclntosh played an extra. Mr Graham carried out the duties of M.C. Cash donations were received from Mrs G. Gain (£1 Is), the Misses Yule (10s), Mrs Baillie (ss), Mrs Simmonds (ss), Mr Eton (10s), Mr A. Robertson (3s) . and J. Saba (7s 6d). Personal Items. Mrs Inkpen has returned to Palmerston North after having spent a few day’s with Mrs D. W. Burt, South Featherston. Mrs Lisington, who had been the guest of Mrs H. W. Willis, has returned to Palmerston North. Mr Lewis, of Otaki, is staying with Mrs D. W. Burt, South Featherston.
