TWELVE LIVES LOST
AMERICAN BOMBER CRASHES IN ATLANTIC ANNOUNCEMENT BY NAVY DEPARTMENT. DISCOVERY OF WRECKAGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) WASHINGTON, November 4. The Navy Department announced that eleven members of the crew and an Army officer, who was a passenger, were killed when a United States bomber crashed while operating “in an Atlantic Ocean area.” The Department said the wreckage of the bomber was found, but did not state where.
