FEATHERSTON
HOME GUARD VALUABLE INSTRUCTION. (“Times-Age” Special.) During the week-end the Home Guard received valuable instruction in various parts of their work from Captain Lee, Sergeant-Major Stanton and Sergeant-Major Burling. Personal Items. Ordinary Seaman A. P. Schenkel, of H.M.S. Tamaki, has been home for a brief period. Mrs May, senr., Mr and Mrs D. May, and Mrs Hill, Wellington, were the guests of Mrs J. Mutter during the week-end. Mr and Mrs Moore, of Christchurch, have taken up their residence in Featherston. Mrs McKenna, Petone, is the guest of Mrs McKenna, senr. Miss P. Hatton and Miss M. McCallam, of Wellington, were home for the week-end.
