EKETAHUNA

SWIMMING CLUB ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a fair attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Eketahuna Swimming- Club held in the Municipal Buildings last night. The president, Dr E. M. Simmers, presided. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs A. B. Fordyce. T. Jago, L. Christie and Miss P. O’Regan. The annual report and balancesheet were adopted without discussion. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Patron, Mr W. Olsen (Mayor); president, Dr E: M. Simmers (re-elected); vice-presidents. Messrs J. S. Tripe, W. Manson, Littler, G. Hansen, F. Goggin, D. D. Ryan, A. Southey, J. A. Taylor, G. Jesson; club captain, Mr R. Gallagher; vice-captain and records clerk, Mr W. N. Richardson; secretary, Mr S. Daniel; treasurer, Miss P. O’Regan; auditor, Mr B. Dinnan; committee, Miss Simmers, Messrs A. Southey, C. H. Parsons, W. Dawson, A. B. Fordyce, K. Murray, R. Dickson, W. C. Duffill, T. Jago, H. E. Rogers, S. O’Regan, Mrs D. Reid; timekeeper, Mr G. Jesson. The date for the opening of the season was left to the incoming committee to arrange. It was decided to hold a social gathering on November 14, arrangements for which were left to a small committee.
