ORDER OF FORESTERS
COURT MAKAKAHI LODGE. The monthly meeting of Court Makakahi Lodge, A.0.F., 'was held on Tuesday night, when C.R. P. Fauvel presided over a good attendance of members. The Woodwards reported that five brethren were still on the sick list, and that six had declared off the funds. The secretary reported that an old member of the Court, Bro F. Corbin, of Hastings, had died. The C.R’ asked that a letter of sympathy be sent to the relatives. Members stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect to the memory of their late brother. Bro H. Baillie was appointed to represent the Court at the Fire Brigade’s presentation gathering to Secretary S. Daniel on November 22. The secretary was authorised to procure parcels and forward the same to brothers who were serving in the forces overseas. Personal. Mrs J. Hansen, Wellesford, is the guest of Mrs Capstick, Bridge Street. Golf Club. The Eketahuna Golf Club will officially close the season on Saturday, when a Canadian mixed foursome will be played. At the conclusion of the play, the trophies won by members during the season will be presented.
