WEANER PIGS IN DEMAND. fAg' Associated Auctioneers report on tile Pahiatua sale as follows: —A small yarding of all classes were yarded, and offered to a medium attendance of the public. The sheep entry comprised fat wethers, hoggets and ewes and realisations were well up to vendors’ expectations. The offering in the dairy section .' comprised mostly bulls of various ages, and sales here as in other centres, were hard to make. Springing cows and heifers were, in demand at late rates, and a total clearance was effected at auction. Weaner pigs with the exception of two pens sold well at late rates. Two pens of light fat bullocks offered failed to meet vendors’ reserves and were passed in at £lO 15s, while fat cows exdairy have receded a little on previous sales. Quotations: Shorn fat 4th wethers, 25 2s to 23s 9d; fat 2th wethers (shorn) 22s 3d; fat shorn b.f. 2ths 18s 6d; woolly fat wethers 30s; woolly hoggets 24s 3d; fat woolly hoggets 265; empty ewes 13s 6d. Springing cows £lO 10s to £9 10s; weaner Jersey heifers, £6 ss; 2yr Jersey bulls £lO 10s to £4; yearling bulls £5 10s to £4; aged bulls £5 to £4; bulls (crossbred) £5 to £2, Pigs: Weaners 20s, 19s, 18s 6d to 16s.
