GOLF TOURNEY LABOUR DAY CONTEST, (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Labour Day golf tournament held by the Featherston Club the best gross score in a medal competition on Saturday was that of W. Rowles, 75,. and the best net score that of A. Hoby 71. There was no play on Sunday owing to wet weather. Yesterday a stableford competition resulted: N. McLeod and J. McCallum, equal, with 37 points. A fourball stableford was won by N. McLeod and H. McCarty with a score of 43 points. TABLE TENNIS DANCE IN TOWN HALL. The Table Tennis Club dance which was held in the Town Hall on Saturday night was a decided success, there being a large attendance. Mr Chas. Buck was M.C. The music was supplied by Udy’s Orchestra. Miss Tocker and partner were the Monte Carlo competition winners. Mrs Le Bow won a box of chocolates. A ladies’ committee was in charge of the supper arrangements. Personal. Mrs A. Davis, Petone, has been visiting Mrs W. Davis Senr. Misses F. and A. Jones, and Mr and Mrs T. C. Lomas, were weekend visitors to Featherston.
