WAIRARAPA SHOW
SATISFACTORY ENTRIES STRONG STOCK CLASSES. COMPETITION EXPECTED TO BE CLOSE. Wairarapa pig breeders have responded well with entries for the Wairarapa Show to be held at Carterton on Wednesday and Thursday next, and the total entries are ahead of last year. The four principal breeds of pigs will be represented in baconers and porkers. The dog section, always a centre of interest with dog lovers, has filled well and dogs of many breeds will come from as far away as Christchurch, Wanganui and Hastings. Cheese factory managers have come forward well with entries and there should be keen competition for the cup for aggregate points in this section. The ladies have as usual, done their share to make the show a success in both cooking, sewing and fancywork. Tn the latter section exhibitors are represented from Auckland to Christchurch. ■ The schoolchildren’s exhibits should vbe varied and worth while spending some time over. This year the entries in this section are ahead of last year. The machinery section should be quite up to the usual standard and trade displays are expected to be as good as ever.
