SHEARING OPERATIONS HELD UP BY UNSETTLED WEATHER. (“Times-Age” Special.) The unsettled weather is seriously hampering shearing operations in this district. Personal 'ltems. Their Excellencies, Sir Cyril and Lady Newall paid a brief visit _to “Fernside” yesterday afternoon, being the guests of Mrs C. Elgar. Ex-members of the 4th battalion of the Rifle Brigade will regret to learn of the death of George Bolton, which recently occurred in Wellington. He had been a driver in the t first line transport and was decorated with the Croix de Guerre in 1917. Private M. Viles, of the Territorial Forces, has entered a Wellington Hospital to undergo an operation. Flight Mechanic H. Edwards, Rongotai Air Station, was a weekend visitor to Featherston.
