PAHIATUA SALE. KEEN COMPETITION. The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahiatua sale as follows: A medium yarding of sheep, dairy stock and pigs was offered to a large attendance of the public. The sheep offered comprised shorn fat ewes and hoggets, and competition was keen, realisations being satisfactory to vendors. A total clearance was effected at auction. The offering in the dairy section comprised all classes, and a total clearance was made at late rates. Pigs remained firm at late rates, and were in demand throughout the sale. Quotations: Shorn fat ewes 17s, 15s to Ils; shorn fat maiden ewes 20s, 18s 6d to 18s; fat shorn b.f. hoggets 18s lOd; springing heifers, £ll, £lO 10s to £9 ss; cows in milk, £ll to £9; empty 2yr heifers £5 10s £4 5s to £3 15s; weaner heifers (small) £4 10s, £4 to £3 10s; 2yr pedigree Jersey bull, 14£gns; grade 2yr Jersey bulls £7 10s to £4; pigs, slips, 245, 21s 6d; weaners 20s, 19s, 18s, small 13s 6d to 11s 6d porkers Si 32s 6d.
