GREYTOWN
GIRL GUIDES ANNUAL REPORT. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the annual meeting of the Girl Guides’ Association the annual report, which was read by Mrs-Bidwill, stated inter alia:—Owing to several actingcaptains of the Carterton Guides having left the district, the Carterton Company' for the time being has disbanded. The Greytown Company is still very active. It now has 28 Guides, 16 second class, 6 tenderfoot, and 8 recruits. They have done very well in winning 49 proficiency badges. The Guides collected 421bs of rags for the Air Force appeal, and sent a number of garments, toys, food, etc., to the Overseas Christmas Appeal Fund. I think this a very creditable record, and Mrs Jury and her Company are to be congratulated. The Carterton Brownie Pack has 10 members. Mrs Brazendale is Pack Leader. The Greytown Brownie Pack has had a successful year and Mrs Greathead is to be congratulated on her work. There are now 17 in the Pack. Mrs J. F.
