SOUTH FEATHERSTON
DANCE & CARDS WAR SERVICE COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a fair attendance at the dance and euchre tourney held in the South Featherston Hall’ by the War Service Committee. The gathering was a most enjoyable one. Excellent music was supplied by Udy’s orchestra and much appreciated extras’ were played by Miss M. Tocker. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr R. D. Burt and Miss J. Graham and by Mr C. Buck and Mrs Davis. A statue dance was won by Mr C. Buck and Miss J. Marshall.
The winners of the cards were: Ladies, Mrs Thorne 1, Mrs McCardle 2; men, Mr F. R. Bladen 1, Mr R. Fuge 2. A tray donated by Mrs J. Jepson Senr., was won by Miss Betty Simmonds. Personal. Mrs Hall, of Wellington, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs A. Jepson, South Featherston.
