OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT (To the Editor.) Sir, —Would you - please be good enough to publish the following acknowledgment of an anonymous donation to the Patriotic Fund by “A grateful dairy woman”: — I wish to' acknowledge your letter and to say how pleased I will be to carry out your wish next Patriotic night and to thank you for the very generous donation to the patriotic fund and also the calf-judging fund. I am sorry you did not disclose your name as I know Mr Heckler would appreciate knowing it, and I can assure you that the people who attend the Alfredten patriotic evenings would not laugh at you just because you wish to show your appreciation. On the other hand I know they would have nothing but the greatest respect. Once again thank you and I know Mr Heckler will join me in wishing you good luck with your herd.—l am, etc.,
R. W. KEBBELL Winiata. Eketahuna, October 6.
