HAWKE’S BAY MEETING
FINAL DAY RESULTS. CHIEF EVENT TO MASTER , CYKLON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NAPIER, October 5. The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club’s meeting concluded at Hastings on Saturday. The totalisator investments amounted to £15,518, compared with £14,778 10s on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £26,203 10s, an increase of £2770 10s on the sum handled in 1940. The weather was wet and cold for the opening events, and the stewards decided to dispense with preliminaries, and sent the horses to the post 10 minutes before starting time.
