WEEKEND PLAY • MAHUNGA CLUB. ' LADIES’ COMPETITIONS. The final medal round for the net aggregate of the Mahunga Ladies’ Club was played on Saturday, the following being the best scores: Miss Reed 90-28-62, Miss O. Long 101-35-6.6, Kirs Simpson 100-33-67, Miss Robinson 94-25-69. The winner of this competition was Miss R. Robinson, with a net score of 284. The club championship was won by Mrs C. Torr, who defeated Miss Wyber 6/5. The Mills Cup competition has also been completed, Mrs D. A. Hunn winning from Mrs C. Simpson 3/1. MEN’S GAMES. The following were the best net scores. returned in a medal round played on Saturday by members of the Mahunga Golf Club:—F. C. Brockett, 61; K. J. Rew and G. B. Young, 66; B. V. Bodie, 68; O. Berry and F. Traynor, 69; J. W. T. Jones and W. Thornton, 70., The fifth and final round of the net aggregate competition was also played in conjunction with the medal round. This competition is deservedly popular and was responsible for some consistent scoring. This year’s winner was was C. M. Walker with a total of 282 for his best four rounds. Next in order were K. J. Rew, 283; M. Thornton, 284; J. Thornton, 288, and O. Berry, 289. During the weekend N. O. Jones and B. V. Bodie met over 36 holes in me .final of the intermediate championship, the former being the winner oy 2 and 1 after a most interesting game. H. M. O’Connor beat S. Ran6om 2 up in the junior championship and now plays K. J. Rew in the final, m the semi-final of the senior championship H. Wehipeihana beat G. B. Peterson 5 and 3 and meets K. McFarlane in the final. INTER=CLUB MATCH MASTERTON BEAT MAHUNGA. Masterton defeated Mahunga by 19 games to eight in an inter-club match played on the Lansdowne links during the weekend. H. Ward, H. J. Nitz .and Joy lost to McPherson and Ross. Jenkins and Larsen beat Bach and Jenkins, Faulknor and Bullick beat W. Thornton and Carrig, .Mackie and Page beat Walker and Sutherland, H. H. Daniell and C. H. McKenzie beat Jones and Taylor. RIVERSIDE FOURBALL BOGEY ROUND. A fourball bogey round was “played at the Riverside golf links on Saturday afternoon. The best cards handed in were: Men, R. Callander and R. Wellington 7 up, R. Bell and C. Walker 6.up. Ladies: Miss J. Dixon and Miss Shearer 3 up, Mrs Rawlins and Mrs Skeet 1 up. Further matches played during the weekend were: Stableford round, won by R. Callender with 37 points, J. Lulham 35 points. J. Lulham beat A. McKenzie in a “bobbin” singles and Petty and Challis beat V. Jones and Gilliland in the doubles. N. Everett beat E. Reid in a consolation contest. The Palamontain Buttons were retained by Miss R. Bradley and A. Bell, the challengers being Mrs Naan and W. Petty. MASTERTON BOGEY COMPETITION RESULTS.
