TE ORE ORE

PARCEL EVENING MISS M. GREEN ENTERTAINED. ("Times-Age” Special.) A parcel evening was held in the Te Ore Ore School last night in honour of Miss Madge Green, whose marriage to Mr Ted Te Tau takes place on Saturday. The hostesses were Misses P. Haeta and W. Nini. Visitors were present from Carterton, Masterton and the surrounding districts. Vocal items were given by Miss Nini and Mr Te Tau. On behalf of the gathering, Mr F. Lusty, of Masterton, spoke of the esteem in which Miss Green and Mr Te Tau were held and called on Miss Green to open the many parcels. Mr Te Tau replied and thanked everyone for what they had done. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” concluded the gathering.
