ANZAC HALL TAKEN OVER BY HOSPITAL AUTHORITIES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The hospital authorities have taken over the Anzac Hall as an auxiliary hospital for the treatment of patients from the Trentham racecourse. Necessary alterations are to be made to the building. Vital Statistics. In September two births, one marriage and two deaths were registered in Featherston. Rainfall Record. During September rain fell in Featherston on 15 days. The total fall was 5.61 inches, the maximum being 1.70 inches on September 26. Golf Club. The lady members of the local golf club held another competition for the challenge cup yesterday afternoon on the Gum Grove links. The result was: Mrs Feast, 3 points, 1; Mrs Pope, 2 points, 2; Mrs Donald, 1 point, 3. Mrs Pope is the final winner of the challenge cup. ■Romney Sheep for Chili. Five special Romney ram hoggets, bred by Messrs J. G. and I. R. Donald, Featherston, have been purchased by a client in Chili, this being a repeat order.
