1914-18 WAR GRAVES
UNDER CARE OF FRENCH GIRLS. Our, war graves of those who gave their lives in the last war are not neglected in France. The following letter, which was read- in a recent 8.8. C. broadcast, gives an idea of what is happening in many places in France. Th letter comes from a village in the north: “I am writing on behalf of a group of girls who work as weavers in a little village of the north. Every evening, when the weather permits, we go and tidy up at the British cemetery, about a mile away. Eight hundred and forty-three soldiers rest there. “We have taken this task to our hearts, and we burn with impatience when bad weather or some inconvenience compels us to interrupt our work.”
