HOSIERY MILLS

REPORT ON PAST YEAR’S OPERATIONS. The annual report of the Masterton Spinning and Hosiery Mills Ltd., for the year -ended July 19, 1941, states: — “Your directors are pleased to report that the company has made a net profit of £4lO 7s 6d during the year just ended, after ample allowance being made for depreciation. Under the very difficult conditions that your company is working, your directors consider it inadvisable to recommend the payment of a dividend, and prefer to consolidate the company’s position. Under the Articles of the Association, Messrs Morice and Anderson are the retiring directors, but being eligible, offer themselves for re-election. The date of closing of nominations will be October 6, 1941. Mr G. W. Sellar, the retiring auditor, offers his services for the ensuing year.” The report is presented for the board by Mr S. R. Gawith, chairman.
