The following are the results of the ladies’ competition for the L.G.U. medals: — Silver medal: Mrs Mead, 88, 17, 71; Mrs McPhee, 83, 12. 72; Mrs Maddison, 95, 18, 77; Mrs Jury, 96, 18, 78; Mrs Gold, 94, 16, 78; Miss G. Gregor, 99, 18, 81. Bronze medal: Mrs Gregor, 108, 36, 72; Miss M. Wood, 110, 36, 74; Miss P. Tully, 100, 23, 77; Miss J. Bouzaid, 113, 36. 77; Mrs Nicholson, 115, 36, 79; Miss M. Quinn, 116, 36, 80. Social Gathering. The South Wairarapa Working Men’s Club will hold a social gathering for members and their wives on Monday next in the Odd Fellows’ Hall. The proceeds are to be used to provide parcels for soldiers overseas. Personal. The death occurred in the Greytown Hospital yesterday of Mr Richard Joseph Murphy, at the age of 73 years.
