CENTRAL SCHOOL
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION MEETING LAST NIGHT. DENTAL CLINIC FOR CHILDREN. A meeting of the committee of the Central School Parents’ Association was held in the Central School last evening. An invitation to attend the meeting of the School Committee on October 6 extended with a view to interesting members in school committee work, was accepted, all present signifying their intention of being present. Accounts amounting to £35 17s Id were passed for payment. It was decided to push ahead with the Dental Clinic for the school, and the department is to be asked to endeavour to have the clinic operating immediately after the Christmas term holidays. It was reported that the attendances at the dances had been well maintained and that the funds of the association had been considerably benefited in connection therewith. The action of the sub-committee in refusing the right of entrance to dances to certain individuals was endorsed by the committee.
