IN WORLD COMMUNICATIONS. CAUSED BY LARGE SUNSPOT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, September 18. A sunspot caused magnetic disturbances which practically brought communications throughout the world to a standstill last night. No American or other news reached London and all outgoing messages were held up. The big continental radios, including Berlin, Rome and Moscow were almost inaudible and smaller stations were drowned out by atmospherics.
