GLADSTONE

FOOTBALL CLUB ANNUAL BALL HELD LAST NIGHT. (“Times-Age” Special.) Dancers from various parts of the Wairarapa assembled at the Gladstone Hall last evening, when the Gladstone Football Club held its annual ball. Gaily decorated with red, white and blue streamers and with a choice array of spring bulbs from “Middle Run,” the hall presented a pleasant scene. The proceedings were under the direction of Messrs F. Bubb and V. Ashton and Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra provided the music for the dancing, A ladies’ committee gave much appreciated assistance with the supper arrangements. The ball was a most successful one and as a result, a substantial sum was raised for the provision of parcels for soldiers serving overseas.
