BOTTLES WANTED

NEEDS OF THE HANSELL LABORATORIES. Whether people are now drinking far more medicine than they ever have before, or whether the import restrictions have affected the supplies of medicine bottles from overseas, we don’t know, Hansell Laboratories, Ltd., state, but we do know that we can no longer obtain a certain bottle necessary for the development of our business. The bottle referred to is a 4oz. toilet bottle stamped U 103, and we are prepared to pay Is per dozen for these bottles. Another bottle we require is the small loz. toilet bottle used for our bath essences, and we are also prepared to pay Is per dozen for these bottles. Hundreds of these bottles must now be available in the Wairarapa alone, and we are anxious to obtain supplies. If chemists would make a fairly high charge for all medicine bottles on the understanding that the money paid for them would be refunded on the return of the bottles, this would no doubt enable the bottle manufacturers to supply the demand for other types of bottles necessary to other industries. There are so many laws and regulations growing every day we think the Government would be well advised to make one more, and that is that all bottles in which medicine is supplied under the Social Security Act should be returned. *
