MINIATURE RIFLES SCORES IN COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following were the scores recorded in the weekly competition held on the Featherston Miniature Club’s range:—E. O’Neale 100, L. G. Benton 91, A. Cook 95, I. Feast 90, 11. Andersen 94, G. Hultenberg 95, B. Williams 90, M. Hodder 98, A. Hodder 97. HOME GUARD WEEKLY PARADE. The weekly parade of C Company of the Home Guard was held on Tuesday evening, under Commander Hayes. The time was spent in physical training, musketry and rifle drill, fire control and range discipline. The company will parade on Sunday morning •tor the purpose of preparing the range for shooting practice, which will be held in the near future. The company will attend the United Citizens’ War Time Service to be held in Anzac Hall. Personal Items. Mrs P. H. "Wilton has returned from Pahiatua where she attended the golden wedding of her parents, Mr and Mrs Marsh. Mr A. T. McNamara, of the Postal Stall, is spending his annual leave in Nelson. Golf Competition. A bogey competition was played by the ladies yesterday on the Gum Grove links. The best scores were: Mrs Feast 4 down. Mrs Gold 7 down, Miss Williams,’ Mrs Connel and Mrs Pope 8 down.
