PAHIATUA SALE
The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on Tuesday's Pahiatua sale: —A medium yarding of all classes came forward. Station cattle were, in demand, and bidding in this section was keen, a nice pen of four-year P-A. bullocks making £lO 10s, and a line of forward-conditioned dehorned Heiefords of the same age making £9 17s 6d. Sheep and pigs sold well at late rates, but sales in the dairy section were again hard to make. Prices were: — Station cattle: Four-year P.A. bullocks, £lO 10s; four-year Hereford bullocks, £9 17s 6d; three-year steers, £8 ss; two-year steers, medium, £6 10s to £7; small low-conditioned P.A. cows, £4 10s to £5 10s. Fat cattle: Fat P.A. cows, £lO 2s; fat Hereford cows, £l2; fat heifers, ex-dairy, £6 Is to £7 ss; fat Jersey steers, £8 15s. Sheep: Ewe hoggets, medium, 25s 3d; wether hoggets, good, 21 3s; b.f. hoggets, 19s; medium wether hoggets, 1.75; fat ewes, good, 20s to 16s 6d. Dairy cows: Springing cows, good, £ll to £lO 10s; springing heifers, £9 ss. to £7 15s. Pigs: Stores, 31s to 265; slips, 21s; weaner pigs, 17s to 15s 6d; small, ,10s.
