ESPERANTO
MASTERTON CLUB MEETING. There was a good attendance of members at the weekly meeting of the Masterton Esperanto Club held last evening. Mr W. J. Beresford presided. The secretary, Mr W. H. King, presented salutations from the Chief delegate for New Zealand of the International Esperanto League and editor of the Dominion all-Esperanto gazette, "La Interna Ideo,” Mr V. J. Leek, who also congratulated the club on its activities during the year. It was decided to send a Christmas parcel to Driver H. F. Franks, a former secretary cf the club, now serving with the Second N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East. Class study comprised loud reading and translation from “La Interna Ideo” and extensive practice in conversational Esperanto. The concluding item was contributed by the secretary, who with the aid of the blackboard gave a further talk in Esperanto in his scries “From the Life cf a Soldier.”
