APPOINTMENT AS MINISTER IN LONDON. FOI,LOWING ON MR MENZIES’S REFUSAL. CANBERRA. September 7. The Minister of Commerce, Sir Earle Page, has been chosen to go to London as Australian Minister. He will not leave till after Parliament meets on September 17 for the Budget session. It is understood that Mr Menzies made it clear that he would not accept the post. No information has been received from Britain yet on whether the Minister will be given a seat in the British War Cabinet.
