PRESIDENT’S MOTHER
DEATH AT HYDE PARK. MR ROOSEVELT’S BROADCAST POSTPONED. President Roosevelt's mother, Mrs Sarah Delano Roosevelt, died today at Hyde Park. She was nearly 87 years old. President Roosevelt was spending the weekend at Hyde Park and was at his mother’s bedside. Mr Roosevelt’s early education was supervised by his mother. A message from Washington states that Mrs Roosevelt had been unconscious for twelve hours. The President’s broadcast, set down for Tuesday, has been postponed until Thursday.
