This Day. “This Bill involves abolishing the death sentence for murder and the substitution of hard labour for life and the abolition of flogging and whipping. with consequent amendments to the Crimes Act.” said the AttorneyGeneral, Mr Mason, when the Crimes Amendment Bill was introduced in the House of Representatives last night. The Bill was read a first time.
