TE WHARAU
AUGUST RAINFALL WETTEST MONTH FOR ELEVEN YEARS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr F. Cotter, Te Wharau, reports that 11.04 inches of rain fell on 26 days during August, as compared with 7.45 inches for the same month last year. For the eight months of this year 61.18 inches of rain were registered, as compared with 36.80 inches for the corresponding period last year. August this year was the wettest month since 1930.
