The Greytown Golf Club’s championship games were continued at the weekend under ideal weather conditions. . • In the men’s semi-final the surprise of the day was the defeat of J. C. Feast by T. Gold. Both played steady golf and were all square with one hole to play. Their tee shots to the 18 th were both pin high but off the green. Gold put his approach within 3 feet of the hole. Feast left himself a 7ft putt and failed to sink it, but Gold made no mistake and holed. B. Kiernan beat H. W. Feast at the 17th after a good even game. In the consolation H. R. Feast beat G. Burns; G. Brunton beat E. Williams; T. R. Ingley beat H. Bull; I. Keltic and H. G. Carter won by default. Diggers’ Party. The Grey town Diggers’ Party at Morison’s Bush tonight is open to the public. A euchre tournament will be held and there will also be dancing..
